It looks like summer is coming to an end and the mighty monsoon is upon us. The first rainshower is always a memorable experience – playing with your dog in the puddles is a recipe for fun! However, this feeling is often short-lived. When it comes to doing activities with your dog, the monsoon season can be restrictive. This is especially true if you live in a bustling city like Mumbai.
Activities For Dogs In The Monsoon Season
Lack of dog exercise and dog socializing are some of the main concerns pet-parents have during the monsoon. Taking your pet to the dog parks in Mumbai or going on weekend hikes is a great way to get in some dog exercise. We’re huge advocates of taking your dog out of the city for an activity-filled getaway. However, weekend trips for dog socializing, mental stimulation and physical activity get a little harder to do when it’s constantly pouring rain outside.
Luckily, there is an easy solution to all of this, and it comes in the form of pet-friendly cafes and restaurants. Keeping these factors in mind, we’ve curated a list of our favourite pet-friendly places in Mumbai. Before we jump to the list, let’s take a look at why making monsoon dinner dates with your dog is essential.
Benefits Of Pet-Friendly Cafes
There are two main benefits of going on dates with your dogs. Firstly, you get to spend quality time with them in a setting that is safe, new and exciting. These monsoon dates can help with your dog’s thinking skills as they get to explore a new place and adapt to the surroundings. Plus, they get a break from sitting at home. It’s an outing that’s fun, breaks routine and mentally stimulates your dog. Start doing these dog dates from a young age to speed up your dog’s socialization process; which brings us to our second point.
A pet-friendly cafe is the perfect place for your dog (and you) to meet other canines and like-minded people. Dog socializing is essential for a happy and well-adjusted dog. That’s why you should never miss an opportunity to take your dog to a pet-friendly restaurant. Unlike other establishments, the staff and customers are comfortable with pets, which makes it easier for your dog to learn essential restaurant etiquette. These dinner dates help with your dog’s mental health and social skills. Plus, if you were unable to take them on a long walk due to the weather, these outings add to their overall physical activity for the day.
Still not convinced? Well, we hope this list of pet-friendly cafes in Mumbai will help change your mind!
